Health Care Network was founded in 1987 to help fill the health care coverage gap in Racine. What began as a few volunteer doctors and a handful of patients quickly grew into a full-time operation and network of over 300 volunteer providers with thousands of patients seen each year. Since its founding, Health Care Network has worked to build a healthier community by incorporating dentistry and social services, participating in volunteer-based programming, and advocating for the health of the low income and uninsured population of Racine County.
Health Care Network has a full-time clinic in downtown Racine and a part-time clinic in Waterford. Our clinics are fully bilingual in English and Spanish and we are known for our excellent service and fantastic volunteers. A donation to Health Care Network allows us to purchase essential medications like insulin, to provide educational programming such as our diabetic support group, and to staff our clinics so we may continue to be the safety-net for patients that would otherwise find themselves in emergency departments, unable to pay their medical bills or going without care altogether. The uninsured population is an incredibly vulnerable group and Health Care Network is proud to be the only entity in our area that allows these patients to have access to healthcare.
