OUR FUNDRAISING STORY

Wisconsin | Created: July 7, 2019

Apricity provides all the services a person needs to battle their disease of addiction and learn how to live a life substance-free through residential treatment services, mental health care, a job skills enhancement program, vocational learning opportunities, and safe, supportive housing.

Apricity means “the warmth of the sun in winter”. How appropriate as Apricity, a nonprofit organization in Neenah and Appleton, helps men and women make it through the darkness of substance use disorder.  So many people in recovery from substance use disorder remember how little sun or warmth was in their life while in the midst of their disease. “The warmth of the sun in winter”, a perfect metaphor for recovery, feeling as though you are bathed in sunshine and warmth.

Your coffee purchase has the power to provide warmth and support to the following service costs:

  • $500 for a man or woman to secure 30 days in safe, supportive housing.
  • $165 for a man or woman to receive one day of residential treatment services
  • $100 for a client to learn how to effectively deal with suicidal thoughts
  • $60 for a 30-day bus pass for those clients with no transportation
  • $17 for a 10-ride bus pass for clients who have no transportation
